Workplace Statistics

There are staggering statistics about employee engagement in the corporate world. There are actually three classifications; engaged, not engaged and actively disengaged ( Gallup poll.)

  • A typical workplace: about ( 32 %) of employees are engaged,  (51 %) are disengaged while (17 %) are actively disengaged.
  • Desire for meaningful work: 89% of managers think employees are money motivated – it’s closer to 12%.
  • Appreciation: (79%) of employees quit for “lack of appreciation”  when they are overworked, not challenged, stifled, limited development opportunities and poor communication.
